Questions of barrier-free environment for the disabled people were discussed in Ufa

The barrier-free environment became a key issue at the eighth plenum of the Board of the Bashkir Republican Organization of All-Russian Society of Disabled People (BRO VOI) held in Ufa. The event was attended by representatives of the State Assembly - Kurultay of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB.

The chairman of the BRO VOI Oleg Rotov marked that currently republican state bodies made great contribution to the rehabilitation of disabled people. Numerous activities for physically challenged people are held together with administrations of districts and cities, the Society of Disabled People. People with disabilities are assisted in searching for jobs, in expressing themselves in sports, arts. The barrier-free environment is organized for them.

However, people with disabilities should be active themselves. According to the chairman of the BRO VOI Oleg Rotov, only in common physically challenged people will be able to achieve great results, to express themselves, to bring their problems to the society.
