Last before the Olympics and Paralympics 2014 Sports Journalists Forum started in Sochi

In Sochi, on Friday, November 8, the opening of the IV All-Russian Training Forum of Sports Journalists took place.
This forum is the final in a series of workshops that took place in preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2014.
210 Russian journalists from the Russian federal and regional mass media accredited and non-accredited to the Olympics and Paralympics were invited to participate in this forum.
“Today is a difficult day for all of us,” the honorary vice-president of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Vladimir Vasin said in his opening speech. “We hold the fourth seminar of sports journalists who will cover these historical games. They are historical not only by time factor, but also by its influence on sports activities in our country. They became prominent because Russia and the Soviet Union have made an outstanding contribution to the development of world and Olympic sports movement.”
The general secretary of the Russian Paralympic Committee Mikhail Terentyev also made a report to the mass media representatives. He asked to cover the Paralympic Games in as much detail as the Olympic Games 2014.
The President of the Federation of Sports Journalists of Russia Nikolay Dolgopolov, and the first vice-president Lev Rossoshik made reports on the topic "Code of Ethics of sports journalists". Rights and duties of media at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi were discussed, as well as examples of fair play in journalism and sports environment were given.
