Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree to liquidate the penal colony No. 10 in Ufa

The penal colony number 10 of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service for the Republic of Bashkortostan located in Dostoevsky Street in Ufa will be liquidated. The relevant decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The document is available on the official website of legal information; the list for liquidation includes total five institutions-penitentiaries.

For reference. The penal colony number 10 was established in 1943 as a place to house prisoners of war. The colony can rightfully claim the title of the oldest institution of the republic. The building SI-1 was laid during the reign of Catherine the Great in 1784.
