Vice-champion of Russia to help figure skating development in Bashkortostan

Figure skating will get a new stage of development in the republic. Experts believe that this will occur in connection with the opening of the republican public organization "Association of figure skating RB" in Ufa on the basis of which young promising figure-skaters are training now.

According to the association, one of the coaches is Nina Petushkova - master of sports and vice -champion of Russia, a member of the national team in figure skating, a three-time champion of the CIS and the Baltic countries, participant of the European championships. Arrival of the famous figure-skater in the city of Ufa was assisted by the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of Bashkortostan.

Now experts of the association develop methodologies for preparation of future champions. In prospect, sports public organization intends to develop figure skating in Sterlitamak, Neftekamsk Tuimazy, Uchaly and Sibay.

The association also reports that the administration of Ufa allocates a land plot for construction of the Ice Palace for figure skating and sports school for gifted children.
