Rustem Khamitov attended "Open Innovation" Moscow International Forum

On October 31, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov participated in the Moscow International Forum of Innovative Development "Open Innovation". The head of the republic visited stands of Russian regions, the "Skolkovo" Fund, ROSNANO and others. Also Rustem Khamitov has met there with the Minister of Industry and Trade RF Denis Manturov, the press service of the head of the region informs.

In his conversation with reporters at the forum Rustem Khamitov noted that "our republic is one of the innovatively advanced regions of the country, we are a member of the Association of Innovative Regions of the Russian Federation".

“We watch each other’s progress in good sense of this word, what projects are implemented, what investors come. Much of what is presented here we have already realized – these are issues related to deep processing of agricultural products, such as grain, new materials, technologies, materials sciences. These are also issues related to formation of smart environment - a smart city, smart education, smart hospitals, and so on. We are working in these areas quite successfully.”

The President also noted that "the exhibition itself is interesting and important". Although the republic for various reasons and has not provided an exposition this year, it is more important that "we defined trends, we make progress in them and after a couple of years we will show our real products".
