Electronic book-depository appeared in the National Library of Bashkiria

Presentation of electronic book storage will take place on October 29, the official website of the Ministry of Culture RB informs. "Electronic Library" is an indexed collection of heterogeneous electronic documents, books, equipped with navigation and search instruments.

The webportal «National Electronic Library RB» has already started its work. Scanned copies of rare books, audio-video materials, periodicals are posted on it. In general, the project of e-library will be implemented in four phases: a full-text electronic library, digital typographic complex, digitization centre, as well as integrated communications with readers will be developed.

Each section will contain archival materials according to their direction. "Periodicals" will include archives of publications of the late nineteenth century to the present day. "Video editions" will present movies about such legendary personalities as Salavat Yulaev, Miftahetdin Akmulla. Sections will be gradually updated with new materials.

Until the end of 2013 "Electronic collection of Bashkir literature, music and visual arts" will also be formed and updated with the first copies.
