Problems of oil refining waste utilization were discussed in Ufa

Development of innovative technologies capable to provide high level of the newest ecological solutions for the Russian oil and gas branch, was discussed on Tuesday, October 8, by participants of a visiting session of Scientific and Technical Council of Rosprirodnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources) which took place in the Government of Bashkiria.

Representatives of public authorities, scientific institutions, business and general public, Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Ecology and Emergencies and Scientific and Technical Council of Rosprirodnadzor took part in the session.

The reasons and ways of solving oil-contaminated waste problem, a role and place of the branch science in decision of environmental problems have been discussed. Also participants of the session were shown the way of biological treatment facilities reconstruction at JSOC Bashneft branch, were told about innovative experience of utilization and decontamination of oil-contaminated waste in the territory of Perm Territory and about complex solutions on oil sludge and drilling waste processing in practice of Safe Technologies Incorporated.

In the opinion of Vladimir Kirillov, the head of Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources, one of pressing problems which scientists-ecologists face with is recycling of associated petroleum gas. Except the ecological damage, the national economy bears also financial losses — up to 3 billion dollars. «To process gas and to put it in industrial turnover of the country is a task for all of us», Kirillov underlined.
