Rosstat holds a competition on the best publication about statistics

Rosstat (the Federal State Statistics Service) holds a journalistic competition on the best publication devoted to the official statistical information.

Journalists of federal and regional printing editions, news agencies, authors of various Internet resources are invited to take part in it. Materials published from January 1, till November 4, 2013 would be accepted for consideration.

Under the terms of the competition journalists are offered to tell about urgency and high demand for economic and social data received by statisticians at carrying out federal statistical surveys, about conformity of methodology of information gathering to recommendations of the international organisations and practice of other countries.

The competition results will be separately summed up at each federal district in three nominations. The total bonus fund makes 240 thousand rbl.
