Unique bridge from glass composite appeared in Starobaltachevo

A new bridge made from glass composite has connected two districts of Starobaltachevo village, administrative centre of Baltachevsky region RB. A spanning structure was erected in short terms by "Ruscompozit" Group of Companies. Municipal authorities were customers of the construction. The President of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the new pedestrian bridge.

The length of the new bridge makes 20 metres, weight is 10,5 tons. The maximum loading is 26 tons. The construction is erected using innovative technologies – for the first time bridge is made from all-composite material that makes it corrosion-proof.

“Similar bridges are erected today in a number of European countries, but for Russia it is the first experience,” General Director of "Ruscompozit" Group of Companies Talgat Fatkullin informed. The company’s plans include designing of bridges with length of 30 and 36 metres.
