Railway Workers Day was celebrated in Russia

On the first Sunday of August, Russia celebrated the Day of Railway Workers.
It was founded in 1896 and dated for the birthday of Nikolay I Emperor (June 25). The Day of Railway Workers was celebrated annually up to 1917.
The tradition to celebrate the Day of Railway Workers was revived in Russia only in 1936.
The Bashkir region of the Kuibyshev Railway is one of the Russian largest railways. The division geographical position defines its prominent feature: a combination of transit goods transportations with local transportations. Thus, a part of the Trans-Siberian Railway from Abdulino station in the Orenburg region to Kropachevo station in the Chelyabinsk region is within the borders of the Bashkir region of railway road.
The structure of the Kuibyshev Railway of Bashkir region includes 78 railway stations, the developed length of railway makes 3066 kilometres. Almost 20 thousand people are employed at it.
