Universiade-2013: last Bashkir hopes in track and field athletics and fencing

On Friday, July 12, at the World Summer Universiade-2013 in Kazan competitive programs in track and field athletics and fencing will be finished.

In final of 5000 race Bashkir athlete Andrey Safronov will run for the Russian national team. He was selected to the semi-final only by time, but his group showed high results. The start is at 20.00 (MOSCOW TIME).

A team championship of foilsmen will be spent in a fencing tournament. Bashkortostan and Russia are represented by Renal Ganeev and Arthur Ahmathuzin.

At last, a final round of volleyball tournament among women starts. The Russian national team which perfectly passed the previous matches will meet with Chinese Taipei in a quarterfinal which should not be difficult for our team. Two Bashkir students — Anna Malova and Anastasiya Shlyahovaya will play as part of Russians. The match starts at 20 o'clock (MOSCOW TIME).
