20,4 thousand pensioners of Bashkiria gained computer skills

The most demanded educational direction by pensioners in Bashkortostan is computer skills.

According to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB, under the program «Public University of the Third Age» almost 41,4 thousand pensioners passed training in the republic. About half (20,4 thousand) from them have chosen training to computer fundamentals.

The republican target program «Public University of the Third Age» started in 2011. It is meant for three years. Its primary goal is to give new knowledge to senior citizens, to overcome their social and information isolation and to create conditions for fully-featured communication.
