Participants of the All-Russia competition «Cities for Children» will gather in Ufa

On July, 4-5, in Ufa a meeting of participants of the Russian cities competition «Cities for Children», devoted to issues of prevention of child abandonment, fostering children-orphans, protection of minors’ rights. The meeting will be held in the capital of Bashkortostan for the first time. A considerable number of visitors from other cities and regions is expected in its frameworks, participation of leading experts in the field of children rights protection of the Russian Federation is planned, the information-analytical department of the capital administration informs. This year 167 cities of the Russian Federation participate in the All-Russia competition. 21 cities, including Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Murmansk, Saransk, Khabarovsk has already confirmed their presence. Besides, cities of Bashkortostan will participate in the meeting. The meeting program includes a plenary session, reception of the head of city administration, a concert in the City Recreation Centre, an excursion over Ufa, work in sections, visiting a Children's Home, Social Rehabilitation Centre are planned.

In 2012 following the results of an expert estimation by the competitive commission headed by the vice-president of the Federation Council Svetlana Orlova, Ufa was included into top three of the best cities of Russia most effectively realising activity directed on prevention of child abandonment. Among million cities Ufa won the first place on the given indicator.
