Emergency situation is announced in Haibullinsky region in connection with grasshopper plague

In Haibullinsky region of Bashkortostan an emergency situation in connection with mass grasshopper plague is declared, the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs.

According to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture RB Vladimir Neznanov, there is no mass distribution of grasshoppers in the region, agricultural crops are not harmed.

“Today the situation in the region is completely under control.” Vladimir Neznanov said.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, anti-pest treatment is conducted also in Sterlibashevsky, Uchalinsky and Belebeevsky regions. As a whole it is spent on the area of about 5 thousand hectares.
