Three cases of tick-borne encephalitis are registered in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan it is laboratory confirmed three cases of tick-borne encephalitis. The diagnosis was put to inhabitants of Davlekanovsky, Karaidelsky, Fedorovsky regions, the regional Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights) informs. Last week one more inhabitant of the republic was hospitalised suspected of tick-borne encephalitis.
Since the season beginning (April 1) 7716 persons who suffered from tick bites addressed to medical treatment facilities of the republic, 30,1 percent from were children.
Immunoglobulin preventive treatment was rendered to 24,7 percent of addressed, including 64 percent of children.
The laboratory of «Hygienic and Epidemiological Centre in Bashkortostan Republic» investigated 3519 ticks, 225 from them were infected with tick-borne encephalitis virus (6,4 percent).
