Bashkortostan delegation has discussed details of our republic presentation at UNESCO headquarters in Paris

In October the International presentation of Bashkortostan Republic will take place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The republic potential in the sphere of culture, industry and nature reserves will be shown to attention of the world business community and public.

As the Committee informs, issues of preparation to this key event for the republic were discussed during the visit of Bashkortostan delegation headed by the Deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB Liliya Gumerova to Paris. The Vice-Premier has met with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in France Alexander Orlov, with the director of the Russian Science and Culture Centre in Paris Igor Shpynov, representatives of UNESCO Secretariat.

Several arrangements on organizing a presentation of industrial and investment potential of Bashkortostan at the Embassy, on carrying out a concert of republican artists dated for the 140th anniversary of Feodor Shalyapin at the Russian Science and Culture Centre in Paris, on carrying out a press conference with participation of the Russian TV and French mass-media were reached following the results of the visit. Besides, it is planned to hold an event devoted to the 75th anniversary of Rudolf Nureev with participation of winners of the All-Russia festival of choreographic schools and colleges hosted by Rossotrudnichestvo in December, 2013.

Organizational and technical issues connected with carrying out a gala concert, round-table conferences and a social function on behalf of the President of Bashkortostan Republic within the limits of presentation of our republic were discussed at UNESCO Secretariat. During the visit other directions of international interaction were also considered. In particular, a question of signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between Bashkortostan Republic and the United Nations Organization concerning education, science and culture.
