Foreign students familiarised with cultural sights of Ufa

The Youth Public Chamber at the Ufa City Council carried out an excursion over the city for foreign and nonresident students. The event organised within the limits of preparation for the Day of Youth, gathered nearly 40 students, the press-service of the capital City Council informs.

Representatives of Greece, India, African countries and different regions of Russia expressed their desire to familiarise with historical and cultural sights of the city. The most numerous student's delegations were sent from Ufa State Aviation Technical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, Bashkir State Medical University and Bashkir State Pedagogical University.

Students started their sightseeing tour of the capital of Bashkortostan from the Television Centre. Having received from the Youth Public Chamber representatives a tourist map of the city in Russian and English languages, they all accompanied by the guide went to the Monument of Salavat Yulaev. This day students visited also the Monument of Friendship and a number of other sights, walked along Sofyushkina Alley, travelled by bus along the central streets of the city. The excursion was finished near the City Council.

The Centre of Public Diplomacy of Ufa acted as co-organiser of the event. Such excursion was spent in the city for the first time. However in the long term it will probably become regular. After all new students from other cities and countries come to Ufa every year.
