Michael Babich congratulated inhabitants of the Volga Federal District on Victory Day

The plenipotentiary of the President RF in Volga Federal District (PFO) Michael Babich congratulated inhabitants of the district on Victory Day.

“Every year time moves away from us this great date, but military historians open new pages of the heroic and tragic past, voluntary searching groups restore names of fallen in battles soldiers and officers. There is not a signle family in our country which escaped the war. All this is our live history and Victory Day is a personal holiday of each citizen.

We are proud of our veterans – people of special endurance. Today many of them, despite advanced years and illnesses, are still in the ranks because they did not get used to surrender. To the best of their ability they conduct public work, meet with young people and share their memories. Passionately they are unique people who are justly called generation of winners.

Today millions of people will come to the Eternal Flame to recollect those who did not return from battle-fields, who died in fascist torture chambers, who did not spare themselves at the home front. Eternal glory, sincere gratitude and kind memory to them!” it is said in the congratulation of the Plenipotentiary of the President RF in PFO.

Michael Babich wished all inhabitants of Russia peace, happiness and prosperity.
