Bright fireworks show will close the Victory Day celebrations in Ufa

In Ufa in honour of the Victory Day solemn meetings, laying of wreath, official, cultural-entertainment, sports-mass and other events will take place. The deputy head of Ufa administration Syntimir Bajazitov informed about it at the press conference which was held in the City Council.

As Syntimir Bayazitov said, traditionally these days, lessons of courage with invitation of veterans, excursions to memorable places of the city, thematic competitions and out-of-class activity are held at city schools.

Also the «St.George’s Ribbon» event with attraction of pupils of military-patriotic clubs, volunteers, and active members of children and youth public associations takes place. During the event distribution of St.George’s Ribbons among inhabitants and visitors of Ufa is organised.

The holiday will begin with solemn ceremony of laying wreaths by the republican leadership to the Eternal Flame memorial in Victory Park with participation of officers, a brass band of the Military Commissariat and cadets of Ufa Law College on May 9.

On the square in front of the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre a celebratory concert is planned. Within the limits of the evening concert program songs devoted to the period of war will be executed. The "Miras" folklore ensemble, amateur creative teams will give their performances there.

Also concerts will be organised and in other parts of Ufa. The celebratory festivities will be closed with a bright fireworks show on Lenin Square at 23 o'clock, local time.
