Bashkortostan celebrates the Day of Spring and Labour

May 1, is one of recognised international holidays devoted to the celebration of the international labour movement. May 1 is a national holiday in more than 80 countries and celebrated unofficially in many other countries.

In our republic in all cities and regions today May Day meetings, sports competitions and folk festivals are held. In Ufa the May Day action of trade unions of Bashkortostan will take place on the square in front of the Russian Drama Theatre.

Also traditionally the summer season is opened in parks of Ufa on May, 1. The tradition will not be broken and today – in city squares celebratory openings of fountains will be held, itinerant trade will be organised. The concerts devoted to the Day of Spring and Labour will take place in Ufa in recreation parks of Demsky district, M.Gafuri Park, I.Yakutov Park, "Pervomaysky" Park, "Kashkadan", in recreation centres "Himik", "Yadkar", "Zarya", «Volshebny Mir», on the squares in front of the Congress Hall and Gostiny Dvor.
