Schoolchildren from Bashkiria are among the strongest participants of the World Robot Olympiad

Young robot technicians from Bashkortostan are among the strongest at the All-Russia stage of the World Robot Olympiad-2013 (WRO) in Moscow. More than 1000 schoolchildren from 40 regions of Russia took part in the competitions. Among them there are children from Republican Bashkir Lycée-Boarding School (RBLI), the First Children-Youth Studio of Robotics RB at the Academy of Sciences RB, the Bashkir grammar school of Maloyaz village and "Metropol" educational centre of the city of Sterlitamak.

According to the press-secretary of Academy of Sciences RB Svetlana Sedeleva, the program of competitions included three basic categories. In the optional category children from RBLI and the Bashkir grammar school of Maloyaz village were qualified for the final, one of RBLI teams won the second place. RBLI and the Children-Youth Studio of Robotics took 4th and 6th places in the main category. In the creative category the projects on the subject «The World Heritage» were presented by schoolchildren from RBLI and "Metropol" educational centre.

Finalists of the competitions in Moscow will receive an invitation to visit the All-Russia summer robotic camp. Here they will pass profound professional and psychological training, and following the results of it the national team of Russia will be formed. They should battle to young robotics at world stage of the World Robot Olympiad which will take place in November this year in Djakarta(Indonesia).
