Rustem Khamitov has congratulated municipal employees on their professional holiday

This year, on April 21, in Russia the Local Government Day is celebrated for the first time. The President of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov took part in the celebrations.

“Today we pursue a policy on authorities decentralisation. The centre of administrative decisions acceptance, responsibility for life quality is shifted to the local level. The local government is urged to become the main institute promoting real democracy principles,” the President of Bashkortostan addressed to representatives of municipalities of our republic.

“It is important that today development of local government system is defined as a keystone of modern model of the state structure,” Rustem Khamitov marked. “It is not only a condition of economical and social sphere strengthening at the local level, but also organisation of new state and public order, at the heart of which is a person, interests of inhabitants of this territory. And these are already tasks of political nature.”

“And when this system actually works, when municipalities become self-sufficient, rather economically independent then both republic, and Russia will be even stronger,” Rustem Khamitov expressed his confidence.

The President of Bashkortostan named several municipal sphere executives who conducted effective work. Rustem Khamitov handed over to the best employees the state awards of our republic.
