Visitors of «Old Ufa» exhibition made a tour to the XIXth century

The «Old Ufa» exhibition, organised by members of the Youth Public Chamber Ruslan Sharifullin and Aigul Telyasheva took place at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre within the limits of awarding ceremony of patrons of arts of Ufa. The exposition devoted to patrons of arts of the end XIX — the beginning of XX-th century, was presented by antiquarian salon «Ufa Collector» together with Ufa regional specialist Anatoly Chechuha at support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB.

Irek Yalalov, the head of city administration paid great interest to the exhibition. He suggested organizers developing the given idea by means of city Internet resources.

Various things connected with history of the city will be presented at the exhibition. Visitors can see a collection of postcards by the printing house of the known patron of arts of the end of XIX century Nikolay Blokhin. Postcards with views of Ufa of XIX-XX published in Nikolay Blokhin's printing house will allow plunging into olden time and feeling spirit of the age, and the plan of the capital dated 1911 will help to realise how radically the city has changed for the last 100 years.

Ufa by eyes of contemporaries will appear in pictures of such artists of the republic, as Robert Yagafarov, Alexander Tyulkin, Ravil Migranov, Sergey Litvinov, Finat Nabiullin, Alexander Dvornik, Gennady Ogorodov.

“The success of the «Old Ufa» exhibition showed that Ufa townspeople are really interested in the history of their native city,” Ruslan Sharifullin marked. “These unique pictures and paintings should be as much as possible accessible to townspeople and visitors of our capital.”
