Bashkir veterans are going to a friendship match to Afghanistan

A send-off ceremony of the football national team of veterans of Afghanistan war "Shuravi" which departed to a friendship match to Kabul took place in Ufa. The idea of carrying out such really historical game appeared last year when the delegation of senators of Republic of Afghanistan visited Bashkiria.

According to the Chairman of the Regional Public Organisation "Veteran" RB Ildar Badretdinov, players of "Shuravi" team make a backbone of the national team of our country which will go to the international match already on April 15. In total within the limits of the project it is planned three games – in the cities of Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif and Panjsher gorge.

The minister of Youth Policy and Sports of Bashkortostan Andrey Ivanyuta also came to see them off. He marked that such action was very important for everybody who had passed through these uneasy events.

The first match will take place in Kabul on April 18.
