Irek Yalalov: «Ufa should be cleaned by May 1»

This year the city should be prepared by the summer earlier, than the last year, practically for a month. The head of Ufa administration Irek Yalalov declared it at briefing session in the city council on Tuesday.

If usually the city is cleaned-up by June 1, this spring the litter should be gathered already at the beginning of May. The spring month campaign on sanitary clean-up, accomplishment and gardening of territory of the city started already on April 8.

“Now the city is dirty. Though this year it was taken out 1 million 350 thousand cubic metre of snow, all the same there were places where snowbanks remained untouched that led to flooding,” the Ufa mayor underlined.

As the deputy head of Ufa administration Vladimir Dmitryuk added, within the limits of the month campaign works on sanitary cleaning of territories, gardening, repair of roads, sidewalks, fences, facades of buildings will be spent. Carrying out of the first city volunteer clean-up is planned for April 20.
