Schoolboy from Bashkiria went to the expedition to the North Pole

The day before the sixth Russian youth expedition «Ski Tour — to the North Pole!», devoted to the 90th anniversary of the sport society "Dynamo", started from the drifting station "Barneo" of the Russian Geographical Society.

The youth team headed by famous polar travellers Matvey Shparo and Boris Smolin includes young Dynamo members from seven Russian regions — Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Tambov, Udmurtiya, Mordovia, Kareliya, Bashkortostan.

They were selected by results of the trainings which were passed in the Karelian camp «Big Adventure» in the beginning of March.

Among nine travelers which went to conquer the Arctic great spaces, was the 17-year-old pupil from the Ufa school No.100 Vladislav Yakhin.

The team of Matvey Shparo and Boris Smolin should ski the «last degree» to the North Pole — 110 km on drifting ices of the ocean in the central part of Arctic regions. Teenagers will deliver the "Dynamo" banner, flags of their regions on the top of the planet, and also will leave on the pole a capsule with the message to our future generations.
