Monument to Salavat to Yulaev and Shihany can become symbols of Russia

at support of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” newspaper have started the multimedia project «Russia 10». More than 700 pictures of the Russian natural monuments, monuments of culture, archeology, scientific and technical progress are placed on the specially created website . Users of the Internet are offered to vote and choose 10 sights which, in their opinion, most precisely symbolise the modern Russia. All won objects will be presented in a miniature at the landscape park "Russia" which is planned to arrange in the Moscow suburbs.

For today over Volga Federal District (PFO) the Stalin's bunker located in the old part of Samara close to Volga, the Saratov highway bridge and the Buzuluk pine forest are in the lead having get 17, 11 and 10 percent of votes. And two of ten the most known PFO objects located in the territory of Bashkortostan, the monument to Salavat Yulaev and Shihany take the sixth and eighth place, having received 5 and 4 percent of votes, accordingly.

Voting on the website «Russia 10» will last till September 29. Besides, visitors can place there the pictures of sights and objects which they liked.
