Military forces to be involved for struggle against ice jams on the rivers of Bashkiria

Military men will be involved for struggle against ice jams on the rivers in the subjects included into the Central military district, among them Bashkiria. As the press-service of the Central military district informs, firing crews and evacuation-rescue teams of the Central military district are already on duty.

28 firing crews headed by military engineers and 15 evacuation-rescue crews are prepared for the period of high water and ice drift. At their disposal there are about 15 amphibian carriers and 52 units of automobile special equipment, including ambulances. In total it will be involved more than 400 military men.

At the moment forces and facilities of the Central military district are in readiness for assistance to EMERCOM and public authorities in the zone of responsibility of the military district.
