«Salavat Yulaev» is a step away from leaving the play-off

The fifth match of the quarterfinal of the Gagarin Cup-2013 between «Ak Bars» and Ufa «Salavat Yulaev» took place in Kazan on Saturday.

Regular match time was no enough to reveal the winner. Home players were in the lead three times, but Ufa players caught them up all the time – 3:3. "Ak Bars" hockey players Yarkko Immonen, Ilya Nikulin and Alexey Tereshchenko scored goals, and among Ufa team – Alexander Svitov, Igor Musatov and Štefan Ružička managed to throw pucks into the net.

In the middle of the first overtime excellent pass by Danis Zaripov to Alexey Morozov resulted in duel with Iiro Tarkki, and the captain of Kazan team overplayed the goalkeeper – 4:3.

The score in the series up to four victories became 3:2 for Kazan. Ufa hockey players should win in the sixth match today, on March 18, on the home ice to remain in the play-off at least for one game.
