Salavat Yulaev will fight with Kazan Ak Bars in east semi-final of the Gagarin Cup-2013

In Magnitogorsk the seventh match of the play-off quarterfinal of Gagarin Cup-2013 in East Conference took place. Metallurg lost it to Ufa Salavat Yulaev — 0:2.

The visitors opened the scoring on the 29th minute. Nikita Filatov who seemed to be the most successful put a puck into the empty net in turmoil near the gate of Magnitogorsk.

Metallurg players did not use an opportunity on their power play in the third period. And at spontaneous change of the goalkeeper one minute prior to the final buzzer, Magnitogorsk players "presented" a puck to the former player Alexey Kaigorodov 2:0.

Salavat won this series with the score 4:3 and got into the semi-final versus its neighbour –Kazan Ak Bars.

Ufa hockey players will play the first two games, also in the series up to four victories, on the ice of its opponent – in Kazan on March 8 and 9.

In other east pairs Omsk Avangard has won Novosibirsk Sibir — 2:0, and Chelyabinsk Tractor – has won Astana Barys — 5:3. Omsk and Chelyabinsk teams made the second semifinal pair of "East" branch of the Gagarin Cup-2013.
