UNESCO headquarters in Paris will host the international presentation of Bashkortostan

In October this year the international presentation of Bashkortostan Republic will be held in UNESCO headquarters in Paris. During the visit to France of republican delegation headed by the Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government Liliya Gumerova the preparation for this event was discussed. Issues of interaction and cooperation between the Government RB and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in France, further realisation of the Agreement on Cooperation between Bashkortostan and Rossotrudnichestvo, signed in Moscow on January 31, 2013 were also topics of conversation.

The concept of the forthcoming event will be devoted the 15th anniversary of cooperation between Bashkortostan and UNESCO. Two significant events will be also reflected there: Feodor Shalyapin's 140th anniversary and Rudolf Nureev's 75th anniversary. The presentation will cover business, cultural, tourism potential of the republic.

Within the limits of business negotiations programs implemented in the region and UNESCO projects were considered.

Now «the object of natural and cultural heritage - «Ural-Batyr Land», with unique monument of paleolith epoch - "Shulgan-Tash" Cave (Kapova Cave), is included in the preliminary List of the World Heritage. At the same time, Kapova Cave with natural territories adjoining to it is included in the World Bio Reserves Network.

Bashkortostan brings large contribution to UNESCO development. In the end of the last year in Ufa the UNESCO Centre — UNEVOC on vocational training was opened. The republic accepts active participation in the scale cultural event «Dialogue of Nations of the World», in which frameworks performances of creative teams at the scenes of Germany, France, Switzerland, the Baltic States took place. Associated UNESCO schools conduct vigorous activity.

The presentation of Bashkortostan in Paris will be scale action which will help to open comprehensively potential of our republic and will define new directions for the international cooperation.
