Salavat Yulaev starts its fifth play-off in KHL
Salavat Yulaev starts in the quarterfinal in the play-off of the East Conference of the Kontinental Hockey League’s fifth season on Thursday, February 21. The contender at this stage is one of the most serious ones, Metallurg - Magnitogorsk. The series will last up to four victories of one of teams.
In the present season Salavat Yulaev has positive balance of meetings with Magnitogorsk — a victory in Ufa in the overtime — 4:3 and in Magnitogorsk — 4:1. Nevertheless Metallurg players took the fourth place in the "East" and got advantage of home ice. Ufa ice hockey players are the fifth.
