Salavat Yulaev will play versus Magnitogorsk in the first play-off round

In Minsk the final match of the regular championship of Kontinental Hockey League came to the end, where Dynamo hosted Ufa - Salavat Yulaev.

Visitors from Ufa won the Minsk players in a dramatic duel with the score 3:2 and deprived them of the opportunity to get into the play-off. Miroslav Blatyak and twice Alexander Pankov scored the goals.

Thus, Salavat Yulaev took the fifth place in the East Conference and in a quarterfinal of the east stage of the Gagarin Cup will play versus Metallurg from Magnitogorsk, being the fourth.

The first matches will take place in Magnitogorsk on February 21 and 22. Salavat Yulaev will appear at home in the third and fourth duels of the series on February 25 and 26. It should be mentioned that quarterfinals are spent up to four victories of one of teams.

In other pairs of the East Conference the following teams will play: Ak Bars (Kazan) – Neftechimik (Nizhnekamsk), Avangard (Omsk) – Sibir (Novosibirsk) and Tractor (Chelyabinsk) – Barys (Astana).
