Bashkiria plans to co-operate intensively with the Baltic States

The Chairman of the Baltic International Centre «Salavat Yulaev», the representative of Committee RB for UNESCO Affairs in the Baltic Region Rina Hamitova took part in the Russian-Baltic Cultural-Tourist Forum, which was held for the first time in Riga. Also Rina Hamitova spent a number of important meetings with participants of the International Travel Trade Fair «Balttour 2013» during which the issues of Bashkortostan cooperation with the Russian regions, Baltic and other foreign countries were discussed.
In particular, at the forum Rina Hamitova had a meeting with the deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova and told her about projects RB with the Baltic countries in 2013, active cooperation of Bashkortostan Representation with partners in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. During the meeting the parties discussed questions of the Bashkiria delegation participation in the events of «Balttour 2014». It is planned to carry out a presentation of the republic and report hearing devoted to the Bashkortostan preparation for the SCO and BRICS Summits to be held in Ufa in 2015.
Also at the Russian-Baltic Cultural-Tourist Forum it was said about strengthening of travel communications between Russia and Baltic.
“The purpose of Russia is to build a common platform for popularisation of the Russian culture together with foreign partners,” Alla Manilova declared.
At the forum inter-regional and international cooperation agreements were also signed, the presentations of Russian regions and several largest events were held.
The business program included plenary sessions, presentations, seminars, round-table conferences.
