21 thousand rubles can be ideal pension for Russians

Pensions in Russia will be indexed beginning fr om February 1. In accordance with the governmental decree the insurance part of old-age pensions, disability pensions, labor pensions and pensions for the loss of a breadwinner will be increased by 6,6%. At that the average rate of labor pensions has to be enlarged by 615 rubles, insurance part of old-age pensions will grow by 639 rubles, disability pensions – by 400 rubles and pensions for the loss of a breadwinner – by 394 rubles. The average rate of pensions for disabled people – participants of the Great Patriotic War, receiving two pensions, will grow by 833 and 923 rubles correspondingly.

At the same time according to the results of the research holding company “ROMIR” Russians would like to have pensions at the level of 21 thousand rubles monthly, RBK reports.

Nine of ten Russians (91%) think that working pensioners have to receive their pensions in full volume. “It is quite fair because 70% of the interrogated call not enough high rates of pensions the main reason why pensioners continue working after official retiring because one can hardly live on just one pension. Our investigation shows that the minimal pension rate for Russians vary within the lim its of 15-30 thousand rubles per month” – specialists of the company explain.

Almost two third of Russian citizens (62%) are informed about initiatives of Russian authorities on reformation of the state pension system. 38% of citizens know nothing about these reforms in pension sphere.

Absolute majority of citizens (96%) are aware of the intention of Russian authorities to rise pension age for all categories of citizens. Population of the country is also well informed about other changes, offered within the frames of the pension reform. For instance, 75% of the interrogated know about reduction of the number of preferential categories for citizens and 81% - about increase of the minimal work service record.

87% negatively estimate the point concerning the rise of the pension age for all categories of citizens. “The results of the survey show that as Russian citizens think women have to retire at 53 and men – at 58” – the holding company “ROMIR” reports. The point concerning the increase of the minimal work service record has become the second by the number of negative responses. 70% of citizens come out against this initiative.
