The contest for the best emblem of the Year for environmental protection is announced in Russia

Russian Ministry for natural resources and ecology announced the contest for the best emblem of the Year for environmental protection in Russian Federation.

Any legal persons, enterprises and organizations as well as natural persons and public organizations may become the participants of the contest, which starts on February 1, the Ministry’s site reports.

“The draft emblem should visually identify the main goal of the Year for environmental protection – the provision of the right of every citizen for favorable environment. Besides, such contest represents a contribution to development of ecological culture of all citizens of Russia and invitation of all of us to activity on preservation of nature and its treasures” – the deputy Minister for natural resources and ecology RF Rinat Gizatullin reported.

Winners will be determined by direct voting of the members of the contest commission. Participants have to demonstrate originality and promising aesthetic and innovational solutions in their projects.

Along with the winner the jury will determine the laureates – participants of the contest, holding the second-fifth places.

The winner and laureates will be rewarded with the diplomas of the Ministry for natural resources and ecology RF. Special diplomas in the nominations: “The most original emblem” and “The most official emblem” will be presented too.

Projects are accepted till February 15, 2013. Summing up of the contest totals will take place on February 28, 2013.
