Epidemic of flu started in Bashkiria

16 confirmed in laboratories cases of the flu “A” (HINI) (the “hog” flu, its strain was widely spread in the period of pandemy-2009) were registered. The town health protection department reports that a man, suffering pancreatic diabetes, died because of this virus at Ufa hospital N21 the day before.

The official site of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights in RB reports the number of infected Ufa residents reached 8600 for the last week, including more than five thousand children at the age under 14. These indices are by 67% higher than the weekly epidemic threshold. More than 24 thousand people fell ill with acute respiratory virus infections and flu for three weeks of 2013.
