“Megaphone” children championship is called one of the best social projects in Russia

The open Russian football championship among pupils of children homes and boarding schools “The Future Depends upon You”, initiated by the company “Megaphone”, is included into the list of the national program “The best social projects of Russia”.

The program “The best social projects of Russia” is held with assistance of Ministry for labor and social protection RF, Ministry for natural resources and ecology RF, Strategic Initiatives Agency, WWF, FSK and other profiled organizations. It was established with the purpose of attraction of public attention to the problem of social responsibility and encouragement of the best social practices among representatives of business, state and society. The staff of the program’s expert jury includes representatives of international companies, such as Cone Communications, CSR Europe and BSR, along with Russian experts.

The football championship among pupils of children homes and boarding schools was held for the seventh time in Russia this year. Children all over the country take part in this sports tournament, initiated by “Megaphone”. The winning teams receive tourist vouchers to the Great Britain, where they visit places of interest and the base of “Arsenal”. Besides, they get a chance to play with juniors of the famous football club. In November 2012 this project has received international award “Peace and Sport” as the best social project.
