Ufa is entering homestretch in preparations for the VI Winter International Children Games

The first in the history of Russia VI Winter International Children Games will be held in Ufa on February 26 – March 3, 2013.

Regular press conference, devoted to the forthcoming games, has taken place in Ufa administration and the deputy Ufa Mayor Ramil Dilmukhametov was telling about preparations of the capital RB for these international competitions.

“Representatives of about 62 cities from 22 countries expected to take part in the Games-2013 in Ufa – this is the record number of the participants. Sportsmen from Canada, Lithuania, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Hungary, the USA, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Slovenia, Ukraine, Korea, Byelorussia, Greece, Australia, China, Mongolia, Estonia and, sure, Russia will come to Ufa. We expect arrival of more than 1000 participants and guests. The Games will be held at four big sports objects of Ufa. Thus, downhill skiing and snowboarding competitions will be held in Alpine ski center “Olympic Park”. Ufa Sports Palace is meant for figure skating and short track and sports center “Biathlon” will receive sports orienteering and ski race competitions. Hockey tournament will take place in “Ufa-Arena” – he reported.
