Ufa medics have celebrated the 90th anniversary of the health protection system

Solemn evening party in the honor of the 90th anniversary of the town health protection system has taken place in Ufa Culture Palace. Taking pre-revolutionary systems into account, Ufa medicine started its development even earlier, Ufa Mayor Irek Yalalov has mentioned in his speech of welcome.

“The primary medical aid for population started its formation 225 years ago, when the first public poorhouses were opened in many towns of Russian empire. Movable exhibition of the National Museum RB is opened within the frames of today’s celebrities. This exhibition returned the unfairly forgotten names of the great doctors, once standing near the springs of Russian medicine. Many of them were included into the world encyclopedias thanks to their scientific discoveries. All of us have to remember their invaluable endowment to development of our town.

At present time Ufa health protection system has everything necessary for high-tech medical aid to population thanks to modern technologies and unique specialists. We have much to be proud of – for the last four years Ufa leads by demographic indices in Russian Federation. We managed to reduce infant and maternal mortality, life span of citizens of able-bodies age increased and we achieved real success in treatment of cardiovascular diseases and in prophylactics of infections. Professionalism of our medics is highly estimated at all-Russian level” - the Mayor stated.

The Minister of health protection RB George Shebaev congratulated the colleagues and presented honorable diplomas to the best of them.
