The XII regional conference “Actual problems of dialectology of languages of Russia’s nations” to be held in Ufa

The XII regional conference “Actual problems of dialectology of languages of Russia’s nations”, devoted to the 80th anniversary of prominent Bashkir linguist, doctor of philology Najiba Maksutova, to the 30th anniversary of the IX regional conference for dialectology of Turk languages and to the 25th anniversary of publication of the III volume of “The dictionary of Bashkir dialects”, will take place in Ufa on November 28. It is organized by the Institute of linguistics under the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ufa Scientific Center, Institute of history, language and literature RB, Academy of Sciences RB, Ministry of education RB, the Council for state languages RB and by the Assembly of Nations RB.

Participants of the conference will discuss actual problems of Turk, Slavic, Finno-Ugric, Caucasian and Mongolian dialectology and problems of teaching native and state languages (on the example of poly-ethnic Russian regions).

The conference will take place at the Bashkir Academic Dramatic Theater by Majit Gafuri (Ufa, Zaki Validi Street, 34).
