Ophthalmologist of Ufa scientific-research institute of eye diseases is rewarded with medal of European association of eyesight researchers

The first and the only grant holder of Japanese Government in Russia, ophthalmologist of Ufa scientific-research institute of eye diseases Guzelle Bikbova has again received public recognition of her scientific activity. She is rewarded with the medal of European Association of eyesight researchers (EVER) at the annual gathering of EVER Presidium in Nice.

As Ufa scientific-research institute of eye diseases reports, working at the University Chiba research center (Japan), Guzelle Bikbova has worked out the unique preparation jointly with Japanese colleagues. This preparation cardinally changes the principle of treatment of eye diseases, connected with pancreatic diabetes. For the last year the ophthalmologist from Ufa has presented the results of her investigations at conferences in Korea, the USA, Italy and other countries. Thus, at the conference of European society of cataract and refraction surgeons (ESCRS) in Milano she has been rewarded with the prestigious award “Innovation Award-2012” for her contribution to development of ophthalmology.
