Almost 900 illegal solid waste dumps were discovered in Bashkiria

Since the beginning of the year more than 890 illegal dumps on the territory more than 135 thousand square meters have been revealed on the territory of the Republic. Summarized volume of the waste, located on these dumps, is equal to about 50 thousand cubic meters, press secretary of the Ministry for nature management and ecology RB Nina Nikandrova reports.

As it is reported on the site of the Russian Ministry for natural resources and ecology, 28670 dumps on the total area 5992 hectares have been liquidated in the country since August 2011.

At present time 41894 places of illegal waste placement on the total area 13416 hectares are found out in Russia and at that the majority of such spontaneous dumps are located on the lands of settlements, on agricultural lands and in water protection zones. 7% of dumps are found on the lands of the forestry fund.
