Professor George Malinetski: “Mathematics helps to design the future”

The seminar “Cognitive centers – the instrument for designing social-economic development of Bashkortostan” is held at the Institute of humanitarian investigations RB today. It is held by the guest from Moscow – the doctor of physical-mathematical sciences, Professor, the head of the department of nonlinear sciences modeling of the Institute of applied mathematics by M.V. Keldysh George Malinetski. He will introduce mathematical models and algorithms for working with various data and his vision of our Republic’s development for the nearest 10-20 years. He will also explain the problems of modeling in different spheres of activity.

This is already the second visit of the Professor to Ufa. The head of the Center of social-cultural modeling RB Ruslan Karamyshev reports establishment of the Cognitive Center in Ufa and signing of a cooperation agreement with Ufa Institute of applied mathematics was the result of the first visit.

In opinion of the Moscow scientist every region must have its own precise development strategy and one should know what sums are required for this or that project and what this project can bring to people. Mathematics will help to calculate possible scenarios of development. Other words, mathematics will help to design a model of the future.
