The IV all-Russian sociology congress is opened in Ufa

The second stage of the IV all-Russian sociology congress “Sociology and society: global challenges and regional development” started working today in Ufa Congress-Hall. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the chairman of the State Council-Kurultay-RB Constantine Tolkachev are taking part in the forum, organized by the Government RB, Russian Society of Sociologists, the Institute of sociology under Russian Academy of Sciences, Academy of Sciences RB and by the Institute of social-political and legal investigations RB. More than 500 scientists from leading scientific centers of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Russian regions are taking part in it. 20 representatives of foreign countries also arrived in Ufa, including CIS states, India, Brazil, South Africa and some European countries.
Plenary part of the congress is being held in Ufa Congress-Hall at present moment. After lunch the forum will be continued in the format of sessions and round-table discussions.
Scientists are going to discuss ethnic, demographic and settler factors in the society. They will also estimate human potential and capital in the processes of regional modernization and problems of labor motivation. Special discussion will be devoted to problems of interaction between authority and public society in the regional coordinate system.
Scientific-coordination gathering “Problems of social-cultural evolution of Russia and its regions” will also take place within the frames of the forum. Problems of modeling of global sociologic processes, new forms of communications and attitude of youth to education in post-communist space will be discussed there. In total complexity 20 round-table discussions, 11 scientific sessions, 33 thematic sections, two master-classes and the special session “Sociology in BRICS countries” (in English) will take place on the sites of the leading institutes and centers of Ufa.
