Journalists have got to know social travel tours in Bashkiria

Bashkiria has practically limitless opportunities for development of tourism, including tourism, meant for elderly and disabled people, and participants of the two-day press tour, for the first time organized jointly by the state committee RB for business undertakings and tourism and by the Republican Tourist Industry Union, could make sure of that.

Journalists were offered to get to know the work of various republican health centers: sanatoriums “Krasnousolsk” and “Assy”, Alpine ski center “Abzakovo” and private rest bases “Arski Stone” and “Pine-Tree Paradise”.

As it is well-known, the sanatorium “Krasnousolsk” is found in Gafuriski region and is famous with its mineral waters. Other objects are located in Belorestki region but in spite of their remoteness journalists have managed to visit them, to estimate their advantages and to talk to the campers.

As the director of the Tourist Industry Union RB Dmitry Shornikov reported, the program of social tourism, which started in 2011, becomes popular not only among pensioners but among tourist operators too and more and more tourist companies are ready to join the program, offering interesting travel routes to social tourists in our Republic, Russia and even in foreign countries. Thus, more than six thousand pensioners and disabled persons will be able to take advantage of the travel tours on preferential terms in 2012 – twice more than in 2011.
