New Year's vacations will start in Russia since December 30

In Russia the schedule of days off in 2013 is defined. According to the recent Governmental order of the Russian Federation, the days off January 5 and 6, 2013 (Saturday and Sunday) which coincide with non-working holidays, are transferred to May 2 and 3.

Besides, considering that the 23rd of February, 2013 coincides with Saturday which is transferred on Monday, February 25, according to part 5 Article 112 of the Labour Code RF this day off is transferred to May 10.

Thus, duration of the New Year's vacations for Russians will make 10 days – from December, 30, till January 8, 2013. In May, 2013 a five-day rest in connection with the Holiday of Spring and Labour, and also a four-day rest coinciding with celebrating of the Day of Victory are provided, the press-service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB informs.

As the Ministry officials mark the supposed transitions of the days off will allow to observe standards of article 110 of the Labour Code RF according to which duration of weekly continuous rest cannot be less than 42 hours.
