One may junk mercury lamps free during ecological forum in Ufa

During three days – on October 8-10 – residents of Ufa may junk their dead mercury lamps free and the only in the Republic movable point for collection of dead energy-saving lamps – the so-called eco-truck – will work specially for them within the frames of the III ecological forum. The truck will stand on the square in front of the culture palace “NEFTYANIK”.

Collection of old lamps is initiated by the state unitary enterprise “TABIGAT”.

“We invite all residents of Ufa to join our action. Come and junk your dead energy-saving and mercury-luminescent lamps. Make your contribution to wild life conservation and your first step to separate waste collection” – engineer-ecologist of the state unitary enterprise “TABIGAT” Albina Shamsutdinova stated.

The eco-truck will work within the period between 10 and 17 o’clock.

Since the beginning of 2012 the eco-truck has accepted 8 thousand mercury-containing wares from population and organizations. The next raid, devoted to free collection of waste, will take place in the town of Sterlitamac.
