A map of internet access is under development in Bashkiria

Residents on the whole territory of Bashkiria and not just in big cities and on suburban territories should have equal internet access as well as the access to telecommunication network in a whole. The Ministry for communication and mass communications RB struggle with “digital disparity” at state level.

“We monitor the whole territory, disclosing the so-called “white spots” with low internet speed” – the Minister for communication and mass communications RB Boris Melkoedov said during his online conference on the site of “The Public Electronic Newspaper” – “We give this information to providers and begin negotiating with them who and when will close these spots, taking the task on registration of necessary permissive documents on ourselves”.

According to the Minister the Ministry shares this information with federal authority too since there are the territories, unprofitable fr om commercial point of view, wh ere participants of the communication market still fail to supply local residents with high-quality communication. In such cases the state helps people.

Thus, Boris Melkoedov has also reported that the map of internet coverage on the whole territory RB will be finished already in November. The speed of internet access will be indicated for every settlement and every territory and it will be easier for providers, who often have no idea how many people and on what territory want to have internet access, to determine the points of application. Any citizen RB may take part in work with this map, the Minister reported.
