The share of internet users increased up to 60% in Russia

The number of Russian citizens, regularly using internet, is going on growing. About 60% of our compatriots regularly surf in WWW today. One year ago this number was by 10% less, the all-Russian Public Opinion Investigation Center (VSIOM) reports.

40% of internet users enter WWW practically daily.

Answering the question “What do you need internet access for?”, which offered several variants of answers, more than a half of the interrogated said they needed internet either for work or for education (51%). Such answers as “in order to watch world and local news” – 47%, “for getting necessary information and for broadening of my outlook” – 46%, “for using e-mail and for being in correspondence with my friends” – 45% and “in order to listen to music, watch movies, read books etc” – 39% - also formed the Top 5 of the most popular answers.
